Abdul Mubarez

Abdul Mubarez is a prominent entrepreneur, community leader and political activist in the Yemeni-American Community. As a cofounder of the Yemeni-American Merchants Association, he served as its first president with honor and distinction and now continues to serve as a board member. Abdul migrated to America in 1974 and managed to build himself into one of the most successful Yemeni businessmen in the country. In 1999 he founded and currently stands as the Chairman of an ATM World Corporation, a company based out of New York City. As the former president of the Yemeni-American Association from 2000-2010, Abdul paved the way for many Yemeni leaders and activists today. Abdul is a prominent figure in all Yemeni-American organizations throughout the country and stands as a leading representative for many political initiatives by the community. Prior to becoming the president of the YAMA, Abdul was heavily involved in the planning and organizing of the “Yemeni Bodega Strike” on February 2, 2017 in front of Brooklyn Borough Hall.
