YEMENI AMERICAN MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCED TODAY THAT THEY RECEIVED A $25,000 NEW YORK LIFE FOUNDATION LOVE TAKES ACTION AWARD
November 24th, 2021 — The Yemeni American Merchants Association announced today that they received a $25,000 New York Life Foundation Love Takes Action Award. The grant will help to support their mission to educate and elevate Yemeni-American merchants and their families through education, civil rights advocacy, business and social service support.
The Love Takes Action Award program provides $25,000 to 20 local nonprofit organizations, totaling $500,000 in grants awarded. Organizations are nominated by New York Life agents and employees. Twenty nonprofits from across the nation embodying “Love Taking Action” were honored. Ten awards were given in the COVID-19 response category and ten in the social justice category.
